Here is the newest interview from the French Gala Magazine

The night after giving birth to their twins, the singer and her husband René called us to share with us their feelings.

Gala : You just gave birth to the twins, how do you feel ?
Celine : I’m so happy ! Everything went fine and the babies are healthy. That’s all that matters. I really hope to be able to hold them soon.
René : I’m still really moved. We discovered our two boys before the doctors take them in the incubator for 2 or 3 days.

Gala : Let’s talk about those 2 gems…
René : They’re born at 11h11 and 11h12. The first one weights 2,3 kg and the second is 2,28 kg. They’re beautiful babies

Gala : What names did you chose for the boys ?
René : Right now we haven’t chose yet. They came sooner than expected it’s difficult for us to get along on the names. We’ll talk about it after Celine has a good rest. (Whispering) And I think I’ll let her choose. (He laughs).
Celine : I probably read like 15,000 names and there’s no one that fits. Since R-C is in an American school, he suggests american names. My mother, who is with us, suggests french names and we don’t know how to choose !

Gala : How was the delivery ?
René : Celine felt birth pangs in the morning. The doctor called me around 10 a.m. and I came as fast as possible. Celine was really calm and focused. She didn’t feel pain a lot thanks to the local anaesthesia. The intervention went fine. I was able to cut the cords. Celine cried, me too, and her mother Thérèse, and her sister Linda who were with us also cried. It was such a happiness !

Gala : It was a caesarean. Were you afraid ?
Celine : I’m telling you : even if they were to come out from my ears, as long as they were ready, it would have been okay ! And I’m not the first one nor the last one to go through this.
René : It’s an experienced doctor, Ruel Stoessel, who operate. Because Celine is 42 and they were twins. We totally trust him.

Gala : You’ve been admitted to St Mary Medical Center in West Palm Beach on October 16th. Didn’t the time seem to drag ?
Celine : No, I really want them to keep them as long as possible. I’ve had contractions and the doctors preferred to get me into the hospital. It was fine by me because I didn’t really want to leave in a hurry. I was relieved to be in hospital. Even if it was somewhat difficult not to be home with R-C.

Gala : Do you fear that, being 42, you won’t have enough energy to take care of you babies ?
Celine : Not at all, I’m full with energy ! The tiredness and nausea, it’s all in the past. The maternal instinct is right here. Having those children is a great dream we’ve had for a long time ! My twins are a miracle !
René : What’s really been difficult, sincerely, was the whole process, who began in April 2009. There’s been 5 attempts and 5 disapointments. Everytime it was really painful : blood tests and daily injections, and the never-ending waiting. It’s been hard.

Gala : René, what did you think of Celine when she was pregnant ?
René : She was beautiful. She only gained 19 kg, and it was all in her belly, it was beautiful.
Celine : I mainly gained it in the heart ! Carrying life is really a matter of heart rather than a belly one. I’m really into feelings.
René : That’s for sure ! Celine was not difficult to live with as a pregnant woman but she was particularly emotional !

Gala : Celine, did you feel, in utero, differences between the two babies ?
Celine :Yes. One was much more active than the other. But the important thing is that in the end they’re both healthy.

Gala : How will you manage to avoid jealousy between your kids ?
René : We already thought about that and we’ll be watchful. We don’t want to focus on the twins only. I already have some experience with my three eldest. Be sure we’ll try our hardest to make them feel equally loved. And the twins are not identical twins : they’re fraternal twins.
Celine : Each kid will have his own identity and we’ll respect that. My mother had 14 children, and twins too, and we’re all differents. We can say “You look like maman and you look like papa” but in the end we’re full-fledged human beings.

Gala : Do you regret not to have a girl ?
René : I can’t say I regret it – we’re just lucky to have children – but yes, I would have love for Celine to have a girl. But when you wait for more than one and a half year and that finally you know that you’ll have 2 kids, you cannot be unhappy.
Celine : Honestly, if I had the choice, for sure I would have love to have a girl. But the day I learn I was expecting 2 boys, I wasn’t disappointed. It’s been such a joy !

Gala : René, you’ll soon turn 69. Aren’t you afraid you won’t be able to see your kids growing ?
René : Yes. I wouldn’t be honnest if I said I wasn’t. Fear is always there. Since I have been ill 11 years ago, I think about it every morning. I’m happy for Celine because I love her. As long as I’ll be there, I’ll be devoted to give love to our kids. So I won’t regret anything.

Gala : Celine, on March 15th you’ll be back to the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for a whole new show ? Are you afraid to start again ?
Celine : For now I don’t think about it at all. My priority right now is my family. René is divided between his part of manager and his part of father. I wouldn’t like to be in his place !

Gala : What does the manager say about that ?
René : The show is ready. Celine knows all the lyrics. She took singing lessons with her teacher til August. The rehearsal with the 31 member of the choir will start in mid-january…

Gala : Will you ask her to lose weight ?
René : I do not impose anything to her ! She manages her timetable… she is experienced enough. I set the things up, she tells me when she’s ready.
Celine : I don’t care about the weight ! I never had to worry about that. Anyway I won’t go on a diet because I want to breastfeed. I need to feed myself and it’s out of the question to perform acrobatics ! And my fashion designer is wonderful. If I have to get a larger size for the dresses, then I’ll have a larger size !
